After a fourth State of Emergency has been announced over Tokyo, due to the rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in recent days, as well as the lack of COVID-19 facilities in the area, the upcoming toy and figure exhibition Wonder Festival Autumn 2021 initially scheduled for 20th September has been officially cancelled by its organising committee. The cancellation was announced via Twitter as well as on the official WonFes website.

An unofficial translation of the announcement follows:
Thank you for participating in and exhibiting at Wonder Festival. We have decided to cancel “Wonder Festival Autumn 2021”, scheduled to be held on 20th September (Monday/Public Holiday).
As we announced on 17th August (Tuesday), we were fully prepared with all necessities to prevent the spread of COVID-19, in cooperation with all related parties.
However, in view of the extension of the State of Emergency due to the rapid increase in the number of infected people in recent days, as well as the critical situation of medical facilities, for everyone’s safety at this event — which is visited by more people from all over the country, to give everyone top priority we decided that the event could not be held.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to everyone who was planning to exhibit or participate.
